PopCards
3D Illustration Series
PopCards is a series of illustrated, 3D (anaglyph) tourist postcards.
Each card comes with its pair of 3D glasses, its envelope and a little anecdote about the anaglyph technique.
Anaglyph :
An image designed to be viewed in relief using glasses with two filters of different and complementary colors, one in front of each eye of the observer. This principle is based on the concept of stereoscopy, which allows our brain to use the difference between our two eyes to perceive relief.
At the end of the 70s, 3D reappeared in cinemas and magazines, and 3D glasses in pop red and blue colors became a cult object until the 80s.
